Are you a blogspot, a typepad, etc? Why did you choose this one and what do you love/dislike about it?

I'm a blogspot and I chose it simply because my sister introduced me to blogging and that's what she used. I wish I knew how to compare them - I'm thinking about getting a typepad just to check it out.

A few of my favorite things about blogspot -

- Autosaving as you type posts. Can't tell you how many times that has saved my can.

- Upload pics is super easy.

- Lots and lots of fun layouts to choose from.

However...

- Most of the time, when you change your layout you loose all you widgets - modifications like sidebar stuff.

- I find that I will lay something out a certain way in the post draft, but once it is published it looks different (like trying to line up text with pics).

This is all I know, thus far. But I hope others will post here too so I can learn more about them both. Great topic!

I use self-hosted Wordpress.

I stumbled upon it when I first bought my hosting space. It seemed to have the best support and most popularity of the ones that would "auto-install" from my hosting service.

I really like that it is so popular and if I have a question or problem I can easily find the answer. Plus the exhaustive library of plug-ins lets me really customize it the way I want, easily.

I guess I'm a mom blogger but Ive been kinda lazy lately.

It's easy for me right now to keep up with it....when my daughter eats or sleeps, it is usually in my left arm so I use my right to type!

I blog religiously- I have not missed one day (including weekends) since I started 6 months ago.

Since I have Wordpress, I publish ahead of time and set everything to post at a certain date/time. Makes things much easier!

Ooohhh! So envious of your dedication and that you can publish ahead of time! Good for you!!

Is that something that's exclusive to Wordpress?

I don't know if it's exclusive to Wordpress- I was told by some other bloggers that they can't do that with theirs.

New to blogging so I got started with blogger, easy to set up and get going. Don't have time to post daily so
every couple of weeks but I post alot when I post.

I'm on blogger.
I chose this because when I first started blogging I had no clue! The blogs that I read on a daily basis were all blogger, so that's where I signed up.
It's okay. Sometimes I have some posting issues, but for the most part I can get by!
